Outdated lab equipment, such as a fluorescent microscope, hinders the work process and impact the quality of the research.
As a researcher in the medical device field, I’m dedicated to advancing research and patient care with innovative tech.
Outdated equipment, such as the fluorescent microscope and its antiquated monitor, may hinder research.
Intuitive touchscreen controls and advanced features such as real-time data analysis, make complex data navigation seamless.
This strategic upgrade, transforms the monitor into a catalyst for innovation, empowering researchers to unlock new insights and advance medical science.
The Solution
Revamping the design of the microscope’s monitor to elevate user experience and integrate supplementary features tailored for professionals in the medical device sector.
Revamping the design of the microscope’s monitor to elevate user experience and integrate supplementary features tailored for professionals in the medical device sector.
Key Changes
How does it actually work?
#1 Export to Excel Feature
The current version of the microscope’s monitor holds a lot of data on each stored image, but has no way of exporting it. This feature enables the user to choose the data he is interested in, select all the images he wants to analyze, and easily export their data to an Excel file, instead of doing it manually.
#2 Graph Generation Feature
The existing microscope allows us to analyze and store only 3 parameters: Count, Confluence and Transfection Efficiency. I have enhanced its functionality by introducing the capability to generate graphs utilizing the image properties that are already recognized by the microscope.
