We are living in a world with incredible biodiversity. Plants are known to contain many bio-active compounds. However, less than 1% of them have been tested.
Finding new functional and active ingredients of natural origins is like looking for a needle in a haystack, as there are no current tools for in silico screening. MeNow offers the first solution with access to AI predictions of over 1,200,000 natural compounds.
Primary UX Challenge: Data Visualization
The main UX challenge involved designing an interface that could effectively present large volumes of graphs and complex data in a manner that is both intuitive and easily accessible to users.
Given that our end users are scientists accustomed to traditional laboratory equipment, the transition to a groundbreaking AI-driven tool could feel overwhelming.
To address this, I focused on creating an intuitive user experience by implementing a clean, user-friendly layout with clearly labeled sections and familiar, easily recognizable icons to support usability and reduce cognitive load.
I followed a clean and modern style to convey professionalism and maintain a visually appealing interface.
Fonts
I strategically used font sizes and styles to guide users through the content. With a user-centric approach, I considered users’ preferences, behaviors, and needs to create a personalized and enjoyable experience.
Color Palette
The chosen color palette, featuring cool blues, soft greens, and clean whites, evokes a sense of professionalism, calm, and trust. Commonly associated with technology, healthcare, and eco-conscious brands, it balances reliability with a touch of natural warmth. The combination suggests a clean, user-friendly, and approachable identity.
Responsiveness
To ensure functionality and accommodate user preferences, I designed both desktop and mobile versions for each screen, adhering to established design guidelines and best practices. Each version includes support for both light and dark modes to enhance accessibility and personalization.
